You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Some website features may not work properly if cookies are disabled.

8. Direct marketing

SafeOps Group separates essential service communications from optional marketing communications.

You may unsubscribe from SafeOps Group marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by updating your communication preferences.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not stop essential service communications relating to active enquiries, bookings, inspections, reports, payments, safety matters, account access or partner arrangements.

Optional marketing communications may include marketing emails, newsletters, promotional campaigns, resource updates, service announcements, general SafeOps Group updates and IVRA OS product updates. Marketing consent is optional and should not be pre-ticked on SafeOps Group forms.

Every SafeOps Group marketing email should include links to unsubscribe, manage preferences and view this Privacy Policy. Marketing SMS, if used, should include "Reply STOP to opt out."

SafeOps Group should maintain suppression records so users who have opted out are not sent marketing campaigns unless they later re-subscribe through a clear action.

9. Security of personal information

SafeOps Group takes reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

This may include secure systems, restricted access, password protection, secure storage, staff or contractor controls and appropriate document management practices.

No online system is completely secure, but we aim to manage information responsibly and reduce unnecessary risk.

10. Retention of information

SafeOps Group keeps personal information for as long as reasonably required for:

Providing services

Managing records

Handling enquiries, reports or disputes

Meeting legal, insurance, accounting or business obligations

Supporting quality assurance and business operations

When information is no longer required, we may securely delete, de-identify or archive it.

11. Accessing or correcting your information

You may request access to personal information we hold about you.

You may also request that we correct information if it is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.

We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request. In some cases, access may be refused where permitted by law.

12. Privacy complaints

If you have a concern about how SafeOps Group has handled your personal information, you may contact us and explain the issue.

We will review the matter and aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The OAIC provides guidance on privacy rights and obligations under the Privacy Act and Australian Privacy Principles.
